1. The Views

The views of the mountain and valley are breathtaking in Paris Mountain Famous Park, with a variety of wildlife to observe. The park also has miles of hiking trails and is a great place for bird watchers. There are campsites that can be rented and fishing spots where you can catch your dinner. 

And, don’t forget about the beach! Paris Mountain State Park offers one of only 3 natural beaches in South Carolina. It’s open from sunrise to sunset, so it’s a perfect spot for families who want to spend some time outdoors on vacation. 

Fishing is allowed at certain times during the day and there are plenty of places to picnic as well as swim if you choose. Bring your dog along too – there’s even a campground just for them!

Paris Mountain State Park has a variety of hiking trails from easy to difficult. The hiking trails range in length and difficulty level. The trails have various features like boulders, waterfalls, and wildlife. 

Some of the most popular in Paris Famous Park are the Cliff Trail, which is 2 miles long and has a moderate difficulty level. The Trillium Trail, which is 1 mile long and is considered easy; and the Winding Stairs Trail, which is .5 miles long with a difficult level. There are even some shorter trails for kids or people who aren’t interested in a rigorous hike.

Paris Mountain State Park is located in Greenville, South Carolina, and contains several waterfalls. The waterfalls on the property are Big Cliff Falls, Bull Sluice Falls, Clear Creek Falls, Culp’s Cove Falls, Dogwood Canyon Falls, and Little Cliff Falls. These falls provide a scenic view for visitors that is unmatched by any other waterfall in the area. 

Big Cliff falls-Big Cliff falls is the largest of all the waterfalls in Paris Mountain State Park with a total height of approximately 70 feet. There is an observation deck built into the cliffside that gives visitors a bird’s eye view of this awe-inspiring natural wonder. 

Bull Sluice Falls-Bull Sluice falls is one of the smaller waterfalls at Paris Mountain state park but does not lose anything due to its beauty. It has a drop between 15 and 25 feet and has two viewing points; one from below and one from above. 

Clear Creek Falls-Clear Creek Falls is about 10 feet high with one small viewing point from below at the base of this waterfall.

The fishing in Paris Mountain State Park is great for beginners, as well, because the fishing is catch-and-release only. There are two main types of fishing that occur at this park – bank fishing and lake fishing. Bank fishing is best for catching catfish, largemouth bass, and bream. 

Lake fishing in Paris Mountain State Park is better for catching crappie, bluegill sunfish, and striped bass.

Paris Mountain is an excellent place for camping. There are many campsites in Paris Famous Park that offer amenities like electricity, running water, and showers. The campground also has a convenience store for food and supplies. Campers can also enjoy hiking and biking trails, fishing in the lake, disc golf, and other outdoor activities. The Paris Mountain State Park is open year-round so you can camp no matter what time of year it is. 

If you want to avoid crowds, try going to the park on weekdays or going during a less popular season like winter. The park also offers a day-use area with picnic tables and grills if you just want to spend the day there instead of staying overnight.

Picnicking is a great way to enjoy the outdoors, relax and have fun. The picnic area at Paris Mountain State Park offers two pavilions with tables and grills, plenty of flat spaces for a blanket or tent, restrooms, and water fountains. 

There are also lots of places in Paris Famous Park where you can enjoy a picnic without using the pavilions if you want to get closer to nature. 

Pack up your favorite food and head out on the trails for a day full of adventure! Just be sure not to forget the necessary supplies like bug spray, sunscreen, hats, and water bottles.
