The Tiger hill
The breath-taking places lies at an altitude of 2590 meters, and serves the most famous picturesque views for sure. A perfect place to spend the sunrise and sunset with the view of the Kanchenjunga range from here. The snow-capped peaks with a great experience of trekking are surely a blessing. In winters it would be hard to go for trekking so do opt for mountain jeeps and enjoy your ride.
The Nightingale Park
The mesmerising park shares an astonishing view and is highly cherished by the nature livers. The place is filled with lush greenery and cool climate here just adds more shine to the park. The park was constructed during the British reign but it used to be a private place attached with Sir Thomas Tartan's Bungalow. Now it is converted to a public park since 2011 and also it gives an opportunity to of trekking to reach the place. There is huge statue of Lord Shiva constructed here which is highly visited by many tourists and worshippers.
The Rock garden
The Garden is a perfect picnic spot in a nice sunny day and is also called as the Barbotey Rock Garden. Located in this beautiful hill station, the rock garden is filled with rocky hills and looks spectacular with the clouds cover the peaks. The garden is also filled with many colourful flowers and sitting arrangements are made here for you to sit and enjoy the beauty of the place. There is also a small lake present here and the view nearby it is just memorable and worth looking at for sure.
The Ghoom Monastery
It is also known as the Yiga Choeling and is the oldest Monastery found in the region. The Tibetan Buddhist Monastery was constructed back in 1850 by Lama Sherab Gyatso. There is huge 15-foot-high sculpture of Maitreyi Buddha present here and it was built by Lama Domo Geshe Rinpoche, the second head of the monastery. Many things related to Buddhism including some manuscripts are found here and paintings related to Tibetan Buddhism are also found on the walls of the monastery. There is also a Hindu shrine present near the monastery which is located at the hill top. It is dedicated to the powerful goddess Kali.
