Queen’s palace

Rani Lakshmi Bai, the queen who fought from the Britishers for independence, resided in Rani Mahal. The palace enlightens the glimpse of how Rani Lakshmi Bai is synonymous with valour, courage and bravery. The Royal Palace, later renovated into a museum, showcases the artefacts from the 9th century and the life of Rani Lakshmi Bai.

Jhansi fort

Jhansi Fort is another monument signifying the poignant role of Rani Lakshmi Bai in the freedom struggle. Inside the fort, you can visit Ganesh and shiva temples, Kal Kothari for prisoners, streets filled with bazaars. This museum preserves the remains from the chChandelaynasty like paintings, clothes and weapons. Be the part of the popular Jhansi Mahotsav, which takes place around February and march for about a week. The Mahotsav aims at showcasing the art and culture of the town.

Rani Lakshmi Bai park

Embracing the queen’s heroism, the park centres a grand bronze statue of Rani Lakshmi Bai riding a horse with her sword and an adopted son on her back. The park is located below the Jhansi forts, is beautiful and well maintained.

Karguvan Jain Temple

A temple located just 5kms from the city, is one of the significant pilgrimages of Digambar Jains, who believes in attaining spiritual goals and salvation by renouncing all the worldly pleasures-including clothes. It is a 700-year-old temple uncovered in the time of Peshwa when a man discovered hidden idols underground.

Parichha dam

Parichha Dam is built on Betwa river, located on Jhansi- Kanpur highway. You are just 25kms away to enjoy the pleasures of ideal sports activities.

Mahalakshmi temple

In Hindu mythology, the goddess Lakshmi brings good luck to Hindus, representing prosperity, wealth and purity. She is an incarnation of charm, grace and beauty. It is one of the prestigious temples of Jhansi adorned with detailed carvings and Hindu deities.

St. Jude’s shrine
