The Chausath Yogini Temple

The ancient holy shrine is one of the most visited spots by the worshipers from around the globe and was constructed by Kalachuri dynasty in the 10th century. The temple consists of 64 carved figures of Yoginis located in the premises of the temple and although the temple had to face a lot of destruction by the Mughal rulers, it to date managed to shine brightly. You would have to climb more than 100 stairs to reach the architectural temple and sure the view of the temple is mind-blowing.

The Dhuandhar falls

The majestic falls cascading down from a heigh of 30 metres is truly awe-striking and the landscape is indeed picturesque. The waterfall is one of the main tourist attractions of Jabalpur and the crystal-like glittering water surely fits perfectly in every picture you take here. There are railings present to show the last point till which you can go in the water. After that many marble white stones and huge rocks are present beneath water which merges with its colour and is hard to locate. Tourists love the natural beauty of the region and the spectacular view of the falls for sure.

The Madan Mahal Fort

The ancient rustic fort gives a spending view as it is located at a top of a rocky hill. The huge fort was built by Gond ruler, Raja Madan Shah and is filled with many huge rocks surrounding it. If you love trekking then do visit the fort and enjoy the panoramic view from the top of the hill. The fort was constructed back in the year 1116 AD and although it has been bit damaged, tourists will love the ancient look of the fort which give a glimpse of the rich history of the region.

The Balancing Rock

The rock formations are one more interesting tourist spot that you will find in the region. These marvellous rocks are eroded volcanic rock formations and have been balanced in a unique position for years now. The naturally formed formations have faced many earthquakes and natural calamities but have maintained its formation. The surrounding place of the rocks are very pleasant to watch at and you have a nice walk here in a nice sunny day as the place serves as a great picnic spot.
