The Vishnu Temple

The astounding Hindu holy shrine which dates back to 2000 years ago is one of the most visited holy shrines in the city. The temple is located very much close to the Varkala Beach and is absolutely a well-maintained temple with beautiful architecture. The historic temple is dedicated to Janardan Swami who is believed to be a form of Lord Vishnu and the temple is filled with intricate carvings. The traditional copper plated roof is also one of the many things that make the temple looks unique in its own way.

The Varkala Beach

Also known as the Papanasam Beach, the place is a must to visit beautiful tourists pot found in the region. The beach is renowned for its soft golden sand and the clean water flowing here. The Janardhanaswamy Templen

The hoy shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu and was constructed back in 12th century. The pilgrimage site is renowned among many Hindu Pilgrims especially the followers of Lord Vishnu and thus is usually filed with many tourists. The temple is located in a holy region and many trekkers find this place very much attractive. Surrounded with lush greenery, the temple is mind-blowing as its architecture is typically traditional Kerala style.

Sivagiri Mutt

This ashram is dedicated to Guru Deva Jayanti and the Guru Deva Samadhi and as the saint Sree Narayana Guru lived here in Varkala, the region is highly visited by worshippers. Sivagiri mutt is a pilgrimage site and during the time period between 30th December and 1st January the site welcomes thousands of worshippers. The Guru’s samadhi here is very much renowned making the place a must to visit tourist religious destination spot. The Guru only motto was to promote one caste, one religion, one god which highly attracts many worshippers.
