The Bekal Beach

The Bekal Fort

The majestic fort with the scenic views of the Bekal beach will be pack of awesome spots to visit together. The fort was constructed 300 years ago and is more enchanting with the rocky shores. The fort is one of the largest one you will find in the state and to date its grand architecture is something that will leave surprised. It is believed that the fort back in the days was one of the safest places for the kings to live and it was much defensive against the enemy’s attacks.

The Chandragiri fort

The massive fort was constructed by Sivappa Nayak of Bedanore and is well-preserved to highlight its stunning architecture and structure. The fort was built back in 17th century and has an important value in the history of the region. There are many islands near the fort and you can visit them via boating and if you want you can also try the adventure of camping there. The pretty views of the islands far away located and the crystal-clear water in front of the fort along with the ancient carvings which are found in the walls of the fort are something truly cherished here.

The Ananthapura Lake Temple

Being only lake temple open for the tourists to visit, the holy shrine is dedicated Ananthapadmanabhan Swami. As per the legends, Ananthapadmanabhan lived here for a while before moving towards Thiruvananthapuram via a cave which is still present on the right side of the cave. Filled with lush greenery and nature’s beauty the temple is a must to visit place and it indeed is spectacular place having its own uniqueness. Many crocodiles are found here which never hurt humans.
