The Ambalapuzha Sree Krishna Temple
The beautiful Hindu holy shrine is surrounded with water and is constructed in the Kerala style having a rich history. The temple was constructed back in 15th century by the king Chembakkassery Pooradam Thirunal Devanarayanan Thampuran and is famous for its intricate carvings. The holy shrine is dedicated to Lord Krishna and is famous for the Pal Payasam given here to all the worshippers visiting the temple.
The Alappuzha beach
The beautiful beach is one of the most visited places in the city and is famous for the relaxing atmosphere. The beach is well-maintained with clear water and absolutely looks remarkably during the sunrise and sunset times. The Krishnapuram Palace
The massive magnificent palace was built by King Anizham Thirunal Marthanda Varma and has traditional touch to it with the ancient paintings and murals found here. There is also a museum present here and along with that tourist can enjoy the scenic views that the palace serves. The huge mural of Gajendra Moksha is found here which is around 53 square feet of area covered by it and the double-edged sword Kayamkulam Vaal is also placed here. The Vembanad Lake
The lake is a perfect picnic spot to spend a nice sunny day with you loved ones. The locality of the lake is well maintained with lush greenery spread across it and visitors can enjoy the picturesque landscapes found here. The lake is the longest lake in the region and is also called as the Kochi lake.
