The Dhankar

The place is located very close to the famous Dhankar monastery which is situated on just a cliff and thus it gets the same name. The lake is crystal clear and is a perfect place to spend some quality time with your family and friends. The place is highly likely to get crowded during the sunset and sunrise time as the scenic view is simply breath-taking. People who love nature and a long walk with cool air from the lake is indeed advised to add this place to your list without forgetting.

The Key Monastery

The Tibetan Buddhist monastery is located at an altitude of 4,166 metres just above the sea level and is highly visited by devotees. As per the belief the monastery was found by Dromton. It is believed the Dromton was a student of Atisha in 11th century and thus over the years it has become an ancient and largest monastery found in the famous Spiti Valley. There are around 300 lamas who get educated from this holy place and although the place has faced many loss and damages over the thousands of years, it to date stands strongly.

The Kunzum Pass

The mountain pass has been renowned all over the country and is one among the highest motorable mountain passes in India. It is located around 4,551m above the mean sea level and is 120 kms away from Manali. The Chandratal Lake that is also known as the moon lake and is very close to this place and again this place is a blessing for all those who love trekking. There is a renowned Goddess Kunzum Devi temple located here which is a must to stop by to pay your respect and it is believed that if you take a circle around the temple in your vehicle then your journey is going to be super safe.

The Pin Valley National Park

Surrounded by many rivers the park is situated in the Cold Desert Biosphere Reserve and houses some of the hardly found rare species here. Some of the species found here are snow leopards, Siberian Ibex, fox, weasel, vultures, golden eagle, griffon and much more. The National Park is very much famous among several trekkers as the place is highly blessed with mountain regions. The park covers vast area of 675 sq km and is a perfect place for spending a nice sunny day.
