Surrounded with the clear river of Beas, the beautiful region of Hamirpur is one of the most visited destinations in Himachal Pradesh. The place is blessed with enchanting views and hilly regions making it a prominent vacation spot. The place was named as Hamirpur after the ruler King Hamir Chand who ruled the lands of the cultural region in 1700 AD.

Sidh Baba Balak Nath Temple

The unique temple is one of the most vested pilgrimage sites of Himachal Pradesh and it is famous for the breath-taking surroundings with greenery spread around the temple. The temple is located at a distance of around 45 kms from the main city of Hamirpur but the holy shrine is a must to visit. The shrine is also famously known Deothsidh and during the Sunday’s the great pooja and awe-striking decoration of the idol with varieties of colourful flowers takes place which makes the entire atmosphere very pleasant. The main idol of the baba is placed in a holy cave which attracts many tourists from around the globe.

Narbadeshwar Temple

MThe temple is very renowned among the tourists and especially a wide range of who Hindu devotees visit this sacred land. The shrine has a rich historic significance as it was constructed by the Rani of Maharaja Sansar Chand has built the Narvadeswar Temple. The temple holds an essential place among the worshippers as you will find the teachings and images from the holy Bhagwat Purana. Also, carvings tracing to the sacred stories of Shri Ramayana and Mahabharat are found here. The historical temple was constructed around 200 years ago but to date it stands strong showering the blessings to every person who visits the holy shrine.

Tauni Devi Temple

The Hindu holy shrine is dedicated to Goddess Tauni, who is considered as a sibling of the Goddess Durga, a strong and one of the most worshipped Hindu Goddess across the country. As per the locals the temple was built around 200 years back and it has been highly visited during the month of June when a huge fair is organised. Lots of worshippers attend this fair organised only once in a year when the maha pooja takes place. The temple is located 12 kms away from the main city of Hamirpur.

The Sujanpur Tira

Located at 22kms away from the Hamirpur town the ancient fort was built in 1758. The ruler of the Katoch dynasty, Raja Abhay Chand constructed the beautiful fort which now stands as one of the most highly visited forts of Himachal Pradesh. The fort is also famous for the 5 holy temples present here which again is known for its intricate carvings. The Gauri Shankar temple located here is the most religious site as it is dedicated to Lord Shankar and his wife Goddess Parvati and many devotees visit this place.
