Kapileshwar Mahadev cave temple

The temple is devoted to Lord Shiva, located 3kms from the village in Pithoragarh. It is situated 10 m inside the cave. It is believed that a sage, Kapil used to meditate inside the cave.

Arjunashwer Temple

As the name suggests, it is built by the Arjuna from the Mahabharata epic. He was one of the Pandavas supreme in Archery. The temple is devoted to Lord Shiva. The best time to visit the place is between April and July, as winters and monsoon season are not preferable.

Nag Devta temple

According to the mythology, Lord Krishna defeated Kaliya Nag, who ruled the Yamuna river and asked him to live in the Mountains. You will find many Nag temples in the mountains. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, located 12 km from Chaukori.
