The Bakort fort

The ancient massive structure is a place where you will know about the rich history of the region. The fort was under the rule of Portuguese and then when Adil Shah entered the land, he made it home. Later Marathas ruled the region and stayed in the fort. Thus, it has seen many wars and some huge dynasties ruling the region. Having also named as Himmat Garh, the fort stands to date strongly having only some minute parts ruined. The intricate ancient carvings are incredibly attractive and there is also Gajanan Temple located here.

The Diveagar beach

The pleasant beach has been highly visited because of the scenic view it offers. A true example of nature’s beauty is the beach which can be considered as a goof picnic spot for sure. The beach is known for its soft white sand and clear water and looks totally breath-taking during the time of sunset and sunrise. The Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary

A place made for nature and wildlife lovers. The sanctuary is been saving many endangered species. The sanctuary is located near to the Northern Sahyadri Range making it a very picturesque landscape. It used to be the hunting ground used by Siddhi Nawab of the Janjira State but now serves as a great wildlife sanctuary. Also, several villages were evacuated for the same purpose. Animals like wild boar, panther, sambar and n number of bird species are like hornbill, black eagle, footed green pigeon are found here.
